In today’s society, technology is rapidly growing. This is good because, through technology, the world is becoming a global market. One of the most adopted technologies is the IoT solutions. It appears that Europe is adopting this technology faster than anywhere else in the world. This is according to a recent study. So what is IoT? This term means Internet of Things. This type of technology connects physical devices such as cars, refrigerators, buildings, etc., to electronic software, sensors, and actuators to enable them to collect data. It was created in 1999 by Kevin Ashton.
With the desire to adopt all things technology, Executives around the world are considering adoption of IoT as a good way to maximize production. However, there is a difference on how fast executives from Europe are adopting IoT compared to their counterparts in America. In a survey of 500 executives in Europe and the U.S., it was discovered that 27% of Europeans have already implemented IoT. In the U.S., only 18% have adopted this technology. IoT has proven advantageous to the manufacturers by helping them collect required data. This is according to Jason Hope, a technology entrepreneur.
