The product is available in over 2000 retail stores across 30 states in the US.
The water brand is founded on a strong platform of health, sustainability and charity work. The founder of Waiakea Hawaiian Water, Ryan Emmons told the press that the company now sells more than 120,000 cases of bottled water from a few thousand it was selling a year ago. Following the steady rise in sales, the company has offered over 500 million liters of clean water to needy communities in remote areas of Africa.
In terms of charity, the company has also partnered with like-minded companies like Pump Aid to donate several 650 liters of water for every liter sold. Many in the beverage industry tout Waiakea water because of its alkaline, mineral rich electrolyte qualities and sustainable packaging in rPET recycled bottles. Ryan attributes the company’s success to several factors, including the ability to offer first premium bottled water that is CarbonNeutral certified as well as focus on things that many people care about such as health, ethics and sustainability.
Statistics indicate that the company’s annual growth is in the region of 170%, a fact that has pushed its value to $10 million. Waiakea Water is readily available in the country’s premier retail chains such as Wawa and Whole Foods. Plans are already underway to make the company an international brand.
Waiakea water was established in 2012 by Ryan Emmons at age 22. The carbon neutral water is sold as a lifestyle, beverage and food item. Waiakea spring water is sought from the Big Hawaiian Island’s Mauna Loa volcano in the form of rain and snowmelt. The alkaline and electrolyte rich water is then filtered through porous volcanic rock formation. According to an excerpt published in Forbes Magazine, Waiakea Hawaiian volcanic water is sought from one of the purest localities on earth located some 14,000 feet below the ground.
The water is rich in minerals such as potassium, magnesium and calcium that portend good heath for the skin, nails and hair. The positive vibes the company has sent across the beverage industry has seen it win numerous praise and accolades.
According to a list of top 10 best volcanic water brands released in December 2016 by the 10bestwater.com, Waiakea was ranked the top bottled water company.
